Kelli Kornelsen never had an imaginary friend but the characters in the stories she read became just as dear.
Kelli loved to be transported into the fictional world of a book. Rain or shine. For a while she dabbled in writing her own stories but life had a way of calling her to other pursuits.
As a registered nurse, wife and mother of three, Kelli eagerly anticipated the spare moments when she could put her nose in a book.
Captivated by beautiful prose and a desire for ministry, Kelli never lost her love affair with writing. She was certain the Lord seeded this desire in her heart. The dream of her name on a book cover began to prod her to take actionable steps forward.
Finally, when her youngest son was two, Kelli was determined to develop the discipline to complete a novel and once the surreal words “the end” were typed, she began another.
Kelli’s current journey toward publication is in progress. She became a member of American Christian Fiction Writer’s and was a finalist in the 2024 Maggie Award.
